"Beautiful resort with a very calming vibe. It’s very big but never felt like there were lots of people around or overcrowded. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Large variety of options at breakfast. The only issue we faced is that it’s quite far away from anything, the nearest shop for amenities is a 25 minute walk away, and you need to get taxis everywhere as there isn’t anything in walking distance or any local transport options, although the resort offers free drop off/pick up at the Marina 3 times per day. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and luxurious break. "

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Viceroy Ombria Algarve, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without being intrusive. The architecture is truly a standout feature: modern yet rooted in the local aesthetic, with beautiful design touches throughout that made the entire property feel luxurious and unique. The pools were absolutely incredible—serene, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing under the Algarve sun. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and every space feels modern and updated, clearly reflecting the care that went into its recent opening. We also spent some time at the spa, which was nothing short of perfection. From the ambiance to the quality of treatments, it was a top-tier wellness experience. The on-site restaurants were also excellent. Each meal we had was flavorful and beautifully presented, with a variety of options that catered to both local and international palates. One important note for future guests: the hotel is located in the countryside, so it’s a good 30–45 minutes by car to the coastal Algarve towns and beaches. A rental car is definitely recommended if you plan to explore beyond the resort. "Such a beautiful hotel and staff. The restaurant is incredible. Had a peaceful few days here as solo traveller. The area is quite remote. As expected but can walk to the beach in about 30 minutes but Ubers are really easy and available to get about also. The staff were really friendly and accommodating.. only tiny thing that let this place down was no fridge in the room to store water or fruits etc. overall though amazing stay if looking for a peaceful quiet retreat and excellent food! "
