Incredible hospitality! Bob & Mary couldn't have been more friendly to my wife & I during our 3 day stay in the fall of '11. The breakfast is unmatched as is Mary's homemade desserts every night. Mary also played piano for us as we not only ate breakfast but each evening with desert in the main gathering room overlooking Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, USA. The lighthouse is decorated with antiques and Bob's professional portrait photography from the 50's through the early 80's. They have turned the lighthouse's old garage into a bar/pool room, with a large amount of custom wood work! You will not be disappointed!

"Stayed there for a snowmobile trip, nice little place. Only thing that would make it better is if it were located on the snowmobile trail. But it’s 5 mins from town. Will definitely stay there again! "

"The view is amazing, our unit was a little small for three people and the upstairs unit was a little loud when walking around. A little pricey, up charged during events in the area. But over all would recommend, nice place to stay."

Lots to do in Houghton

"Napoleon at the front desk was on top of our reservation and gave us a tip about the fantastic restaurant on the 7th floor of the hotel as a possible dinner spot. Food and service only exceeded by view of water. Rooms were spotless. Ours overlooked 41 so we watched a parade from our room. Neat town. "
