"As advertised, it is extremely small. I was on 3rd floor. Parking was difficult. Security seemed very tight which led me to believe there was a security issue. Not friendly and inviting atmosphere, but fine for one night of sleep and nothing more."
"Much love and careful attention is going into the refurbishing of this historic property. You won't get a warmer welcome in Stirling! A great room centrally located."
"Amanda was very welcoming when we arrived and a bonus was the free onsite parking and close proximity to the university. It was just what we needed for the one night stay. Unfortunately, the bathroom is a bit dated, and the shower roof is on a slant so I managed to stand upright, just, but any taller and you would struggle. I did appreciate they had left a stool though so you could sit down and not bump your head if you wanted too. Amanda was very kind and apologised when I explained about it....
"Sue was a brilliant host. Breakfast was delicious, the room was quaint and had all emenities. Her breakfast was enough until dinner (suppertime).
Not a far walk to the shops, Old Towne, Haymarket and the market was minutes away. Would recommend to my friends when visiting Edinburgh."
"Our beds were very comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good, particularly the scrambled eggs!
We would like to have had our dinner in the hotel but the menu was basic in the extreme. Burgers, burgers and more burgers. To be fair the hotel had just changed ownership two days before our stay, so hopefully the evening meals will improve."
