"Very helpful manager, Wade. Breakfast was fantastic- fresh quality ingredients . Nice touch of bottles of water & fans in the room. We were in room 8 at the very top but it wasn’t stifling hot. Comfortable beds and a great nights sleep."

"Adequate car parking, good location for Lyndhurst hight street. No air conditioning in King Rufus suite. It was a hot summers day. Lift out of action the second day of our visit. A mini fridge in the room would be helpful. The hotel is in need of refurbishment, certainly the bedroom windows."

"Lovely New Forest pub. Very friendly atmosphere. Large clean room, comfy bed, modern bathroom. Very quiet at night. Big breakfast, varied evening meals and excellent beer. New Forest ponies on the green and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's grave two minutes up the road! Excellent value. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks."

The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! "The TV in the room didn't receive any programs. We had to wait almost an hour before our meal was delivered to the table. Great food but a long wait."
