"We were in “The Blue Room”. There is only air conditioning in the bedroom. For warmer days this makes using the other rooms (sitting area, bathroom, shower) unbearable. The shower didn’t have a spot to set your soap, shampoo, etc. Other than that, it was perfect. We loved the historic building and the staff who assisted us, Valentina and Yvonna (sp?) were incredibly nice and helpful. Great location for visiting all the fun things to do and see in Montepulciano. "

"Nice ancient residence, lots of antique furniture & ambience, quiet w/comfy bed. Bathroom needed attention so shower wand fits wall & doesnt crash into the bath tub if moved & need a tub plug. Would be nice to add small lotion with bath soap to make this a more kuxurious stay. And the ancient door was VERY difficuot to lock in and out. "Travelled with my wife and only chose the town because she was keen to experience the nearby Bagni San Fillipo.But Gli Archi and the town Abbadia San Salvatore both pleasantly surprised us. "The house and location are perfect for a family holiday, the pool is lovely and there are plenty of covered areas in the garden in which to relax when the sun gets too hot! The proprietors are very accommodating and fixed any issues (washing machine failed during our stay) immediately. The only thing to be aware of is that the region near the lake does suffer from mosquitoes which come out in the evening - so take repellent with you as it’s expensive in Italy!"
