"This was my second time staying in this hotel and had a really great stay again. The service at check in was great - I had an early flight and they dealt with the formalities of check in when I arrived and held on to my luggage until my room was ready. When I came back to collect my room key, they said they had taken my case up which was a nice touch. The room itself was really comfortable, spacious and clean. They left some little snacks out on arrival as well as a bottle of port which was nice. The rainfall shower was really lovely and a nice spacious shower. Location wise this is great - doesn’t take long to get to the river but also close to Sao Bento and Trinidad’s stations. There is 24/7 reception staff which helped me to feel safe especially as a solo female traveller. Will definitely come back and stay again! "

"Fabulous hotel. Very reasonably priced for the central location - really close to all the key sights in the historic centre, loads of restaurants nearby and main shopping street very close. Breakfast was great, staff were really friendly, rooftop bar and small pool was great"
