"Gelado! O quarto estava gelado quando entrámos. Apesar de ter Ar Condicionado, é claramente insuficiente para o clima da zona, e o tipo de habitação. Mesmo com o ar condicionado ligado no máximo a noite toda, o quarto manteve-se muito frio e completamente desconfortável."

"The cottage is beautifully decorated and quite large. Everything you could possibly need is found within, There are some lovely spaces to sit and enjoy the property. The hosts go out of their way to make sure you are happy including leaving you treats on the patio. You can easily walk into Sanitiago do Escoural which is a quiet little town. "El entorno de la casa tiene muchísimo encanto y eso compensa la dificultad para llegar. Hay que tener cuidado si se intenta acceder de noche con las indicaciones del GPS. Algunos colchones son mejorables y se sale a veces el agua de la ducha pero en general, muy bien todo."

A 15/20 minute walk into Sao Luis - authentic Portuguese town with lovely atmosphere, great cafe and restaurant and daily fish and vegetable market. Would definitely return and highly recommend."

"What an amazing time we had in Orvalhos! The house sits on a hill where it overlooks the Alentejo plaines. In the mornings , the sounds of bells and birds always made me happy. The locals are just as nice! The house was very clean and it had all we needed. We kept it warm by using the fireplace every evening.
