"Our view of the eclipse was left to whims of the weather but we got lucky. It was spectacular. Our accommodations were not left to chance and I highly recommend RH Silene Hotel & Spa in Castellon de la Plana. The staff was most helpful and most spoke Spanish and English. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and also has two pools. The buffet meals were delicious and I recommend the half board which gives you breakfast and your choice of lunch or dinner on a daily basis."

"Great location, outstanding staff, very family friendly with lots going on for the kids and the grandparents. Many multi-generational families were staying at the hotel and many seemed to be regulars returning year after year. There were some maintenance issues, such as only a trickle of water from the kitchen faucet, but none were showstoppers. It’s a beach resort so you do expect sand on the room and balcony floors. We’ll seriously consider returning when another trip to Spain comes up on our travel list."

"The kitchen could have been equipped better. Maybe add a bread knife, bottle and can opener, a corkscrew and a chopping board. Also some cleaning stuff, dish soap and a sponge or towel. Otherwise it was a great location and perfect for the beach!"

"We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed our holiday.The house is simply beautiful. The views over the sea, the mountains and the town are amazing, and the large pool is perfect for relaxing after a day out.The host was very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the very beginning.The location is ideal for exploring the area. Whether you want to visit the beautiful beaches, the historic old town of Peñíscola, or take a day trip to Valencia, everything is within easy reach.We loved both the house and the surrounding area so much that we're already planning to come back. Highly recommended!"

"Hotel beautiful. Central/communal areas nicely decorated. Staff (especially at reception)were friendly and helpful. Lovely location for the old and new town. Some of the fixed furnishings in the bedroom were a little worn but still comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others."

"Fantastic villa, well maintained and equipped. The host was very friendly and answered all the queries we had. We had a lovely family holiday our age range was 3 years to 80 years and the villas was perfect for us all.We walked into town for shopping and it was a bit of a hill on the way back!"
