Please be sure to read all house rules, amenities, notes and policies before booking. The Great Pocono Rental is a beautiful, ~1400sq/ft, mountain home located in Towamensing Trails, just a short walk to the lake and marina. A private vacation spot offering a crystal clear 190 acre stocked lake, with boat rentals available. There is a sandy beach, outdoor lakefront swimming pool, lakefront restaurant and bar, tennis and basketball courts. For the kids, there is a playground and kiddie pool...8 "amenity renters bands" provided to use community facilities, more can be purchased...children 5 and under do not need bands. Area is patrolled with 24-hour security(guests will be registered previous to arrival). The home has 3 bedrooms (2 queen, and 1 queen/twin bunk beds), and 2 full bathrooms. There is also a full futon in the loft area and a portable crib. Loft area is off to the side of the master bedroom…it is not a separate room. Our “suggested max comfortable occupancy” would be 6 adults+children. Our cozy and comfortable home offers cathedral ceilings, stone gas fireplace, ceiling fans(No AC), modern fully-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two baths, and TV/DVD. The game room area, at the house, has a dart board, air hockey/PING PONG & MORE! While the chalet does not have AC, there are ceiling fans throughout the house. The average high temps in July/August are in the 70's(weatherforyou.com), so 99% of the time, AC is not needed!



The Great Pocono Rental is nestled in the woods of Towamensing Trails. Ideal for weekly/weekend get a ways, ski isj vacations, summer vacations and fall foliage views. Our beautiful and cozy home offers cathedral ceilings, lots of glass, gas burning stone fireplace, ceiling fans throughout, modern fully-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two baths and TVs/DVD/VCR and videos. The game area features a dart board, air hockey/ping pong(combo). For outdoor entertaining, we offer two Spacious decks and a grill. Amenities: Stone Gas Fireplace, Ceiling Fans throughout, Phone, Cable TV, Stereo, CD Player, DVD/VCR, Many kids’ games, Full Kitchen, Microwave, Coffee Pot, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Washer, Dryer, Grill. Very family friendly!

Active!: Towamensing Trails is a private, secure, four season community offering a lake with a private beach, pool, tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, and a playground. The crystal clear lake is stocked with fish (license required). The clubhouse features a restaurant/bar and an outdoor snack bar overlooking the lake. During the summer months, boats can be rented. Clubhouse hours may vary according to the season(peak/off-peak).


Our home is centralized among many area attractions which include: Jack Frost/Big Boulder, Camel Back, Hickory Run State Park, Dorney Park, Jim Thorpe, The Crossings Outlets, Lake Harmony, Split Rock, Whitewater Rafting, and Pocono Raceway and Pocono Mountain Festivals. There’s always something to do in The Poconos!

Partially refundable damage deposit($325) billed separately after booking.
The deposit includes the $125 cleaning fee…deducted at time of refund.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet private community surrounded by deer and friendly neighbors. Pet friendly and only 20 minutes to Jim Thorpe which was a unique town with plenty to do, from shopping to whitewater rafting. We will definitely be back

We had a great family time. Clean, comfortable chalet, with a great bedroom loft on second floor with It's own bath and easily accessible to Big Boulder, Jack Frost and Blue Mountain!

Family Time

Provided for a nice short stay to be with family. Area was very nice and we all enjoyed the wild life. Jim Thorpe is definitely worth the trip but get there early as traffic and parking become a nightmare.

Very nice location and property. Mike was easy to get in touch with and had everything nicely set up for us. Very enjoyable stay! Community is wonderful. The kids really has a great time swimming, hiking, and paddle boating. Would return!

Fantastic home away from home!

We absolutely loved Mike’s place. From the ping-pong table to the deck outside for grilling to feeding the deer by hand we could not have imagined a better stay. We were there for just over five weeks and Mike was incredibly responsive and helpful anytime we needed anything. The house had everything we needed for a long stay and we will definitely be back. The queen sized bed in the loft is super comfy which is important for long and short stays.

Awesome rental!

I have had the pleasure of using this rental a number of times over the past four years, the most recent visit being the weekend of 1/21/11. The house is always extremely clean with all the comforting amenities of home. The ski slopes are just minutes away as are many decent restaurants/bars. The owners are extremely accommodating and pleasant as well. I would highly recommend this rental!

Amazing stay

It was amazing to see the deets so up close and personal it was breathtaking. The place was amazing the upstairs loft look over amazing. The response time from both Mike and his team was admirable. We really enjoyed ourselves. Not too far from Louis Steakhouse with was a fav!! And the dollar general right around the corner has produce so this place is really that place with location. Will go again and will book this place!!

Great mountain community home

This was a great place to come with kids. The beach was great. There are lots of things to do that are a short drive away. The home was nicely stocked and my family of 6 plus our dog fit perfectly. The kids loved the air hockey and ping pong. There were some minor issues with cleanliness and there is no AC so be prepared if it is a hot week to go somewhere during the day. There were lots of fans which helped. Overall, we had a great week!

peaceful chalet in quiet community

overall our stay was pleasant . The chalet was open and airy . A few little things needed fixing but nothing that spoiled the stay. It was a perfect size for my husband and I , and our toy dog but a family could also easily be comfortable. There’s much to do in the community and lots of good restaurants in the surrounding areas. My husband and i were a little surprised the chalet wasn’t in a more wooded area and that the neighbours were very close.. They were, however, very friendly. The area is very quiet and deer are very friendly and will eat out of your hand The host Mike was very responsive to all messages both before, during and after our stay. Would recommend, especially if you live in an urban area and require peace and quiet

Lovely few days away

The pup & I had such a nice stay at this chalet this week. The home was lovely, super comfy and very conveniently located to the marina (and the community to convenience stores for any necessities we needed to restock). We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the beautiful neighborhood, sitting by the marina and lounging on the deck during our visit (the daily visits from the deer to the front yard were a real plus! :). The owner was also very accessible & responsive. While it was just the two of us, could see this making a great home for a family given the size and amenities like the game table. Thank you for a great few days of nature, comfort and relaxation, Mike!

Great house and community

From start to finish the rental process was easy. The house was beautiful and in great condition. When we arrived the cleaners had not done very well but the owner fixed the situation in under an hour. As far as I see it, this isn’t an issue with the owner at all. The community itself was amazing. We were a short distance from the pool, beach and clubhouse which were all very well maintained. The house itself is in very close proximity to many restraints and activities for families.

quick ski trip

Last minute rental and every went smoothly. Arrived late Friday evening. Lots of wildlife in the neighborhood. Easy to access house with very precise instructions. Cozy layout. Only used lower part of house since there were only 3 of us. Rained the first day but house is close to other activities so water park was visited. Got to ski on Sunday. No home issues. Would return.

Cozy Cottage

We had a great stay at this cottage. Mike was great and replied back quickly to our questions, and we had a lot, lol. He also gave us very detailed info about our stay, rules, directions, etc. There was plenty for us to do around the area. The only complaints we had was that there were 9 of us staying in the house and the main tv was super small for all of us to gather and watch a couple football games, movies and watch the ball drop for NYE. Also the futon in the loft was so uncomfortable, we lost a space to sleep. Thankfully, we brought a blow up bed. Otherwise, the chalet had everything we needed to have a great long weekend!
