"This place was absolutely nasty. I had to get a cheap motel and I was totally prepared for what I thought. The blinds were broke people walked past and could see me and my 14 daughter sleeping. The smoke detector was disabled and torn down. The walls were peeling. Smelled like smoke so bad. The plugs for the wall had black on them like they had sparked before so I could not plug in my phone and had a 8hr drive. I understand cheap but this was non sleeping conditions. "

"I reserved two rooms so our friends and family could celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday together. We had stayed here previously and, while the hotel was older, it was clean, well-maintained, and had a friendly atmosphere. The location was also a big plus. Unfortunately, this visit was a major disappointment from the moment we arrived. When we walked into the lobby, it felt very dated, humid, and had an unpleasant odor. Overall, it gave the impression that the property was not being properly maintained. Check-in was equally frustrating. The front desk clerk seemed disorganized—room keys were scattered across the desk, and in the middle of helping me, he answered a phone call, spoke rudely to the caller saying he was busy, and hung up. The rooms themselves were in poor condition. One room had curtains with holes, and everything felt old, dirty, and muggy. The next day, we discovered the terrible smell in that room was coming from a dirty diaper left in the trash can. The second room looked slightly better at first glance, but the bed was extremely squeaky and the AC unit was falling apart. The following morning, we found hair under the covers and mold inside the Keurig coffee maker. "

"everything was great, they make sure that there's lots of things to do , 2 pools , kayaks and paddle boards, cabanas. all complimentary I was traveling with my son who is 8 and has a sensory issue. they have a big empty area away from the beach and all the activities, I seen people fishing down there the evening we arrived and the next morning. my son wanted to fish too, we walked over there and within minutes they came and shut us down and the reason was that the dnr and police had been around looking. I explained that we bought our fishing licences and we were good to go... but still madey son put the pole away.. we weren't bothering anyone and it became a huge deal for my son! all the employees were extremely helpful except the one girl riding around on the golf cart.. even though she was standing right in front of me she wanted to tell her staff to tell us we were breaking the rules. I even knew she was talking about my son crawling on the rocks!! she was rude to the staff she was supervising & in front of guests!! she's the one who made them come tell my son to stop fishing. other than that the place is great. very fancy! there was a family staying in the room upstairs from me who had way to many children and adults in the same room!! at least 8 kids. they were noisy all night long.. seemed like pretty much anything goes there just don't try to fish!!"
