"The Shanghai La Dubai is a remarkable property staffed by remarkable people. Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by name without having even checked in yet. Each member of staff went above and beyond to make my stay as memorable as possible. Moustafa, and all the front desk members, ensured that my needs were met and exceeded. They were a wealth of knowledge and advice for a first time traveler to Dubai. My room was top notch, the spa was indulgent, just everything was top shelf, especially the staff."

"The hotel is located in the business bay area. There is a train station nearby. We walked along the canal, which is right across the street. There are plenty of restaurants nearby or you can take a bit of a walk towards the Burj and find more. there are three buildings going up right by the hotel, but we never felt that there was a lot of noise. The little café makes a great a latte that you can take on the go and some amazing looking sweets as well. The pool bear is very nice.There is a little market two doors down in case you forgot anything. We liked the location because we could either walk or get a grab/taxi to the museum and other sites. If we had stayed down at the waterfront, those would’ve been more expensive to get to. Overall, we loved our stay in Dubai and can’t wait to come back!"

"Very safe, comfortable place to stay, with very good food/drink options in a room service. Room equipped with everything you need. Besides comfortable bed, the coach area is a very cosy. The hotel provides shuttles, which is very convenient. Very helpful stuff. I like two swimming pool options. TV has a lot of channels. Great place to stay! "

"Great location and beautiful hotel"

"My wife and I first stayed at the Burj Al Arab in July 2006. Back then, it was without question the most impressive hotel in the world, from the iconic sail, shaped design to the luxurious interior, unmatched service, and thoughtful in-room souvenirs. One of the highlights was the personalized attention: we had a butler on our floor available at all times, and staff were stationed throughout the hotel, offering dates and assistance with a genuine sense of hospitality. It felt like every detail was curated to make you feel like royalty. Returning nearly 20 years later, our experience was still pleasant, but the magic wasn’t quite the same. While the hotel remains architecturally stunning and the service is still high by most standards, it now feels like it needs a refresh , both in design and service dynamics. The interiors haven’t evolved much and now appear a bit dated, especially compared to other modern luxury hotels around the world. Small service details fell short: for instance, we planned to visit the Sky Bar but found it closed, and the alternative bar closed just minutes after we arrived, something that would never have happened back in 2006. To be clear, the Burj Al Arab still offers an exceptional experience, but it no longer feels like the best hotel in the world , at least not in the way it once did. For those who’ve never been, it will still dazzle. For those returning with memories of its golden era, it may feel like it’s time for a new chapter in its legacy"
