"The room was well thought out, efficient and located exactly where we wanted to be. We could have stayed there for a week comfortably. The only thing we would have liked was some flat space around the bathroom sink and more hooks to hang things. "

The only thing I’d note is that while there the location is renovating which meant our floor was an active construction zone during the day. It didn’t disturb our stay much (except for the morning they tested the fire alarm system at 8 am), but it would have been nice if the property had communicated that with us. "Wonderful experience! This is my second time staying at one of Alfred's properties. The units are well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. Communication with owner/manager is excellent and very responsive. The location could not be better. Close to fancy restaurants as well as casual places. Reykjavik's best coffee and bakeries are within two blocks. Shopping at Bonus and Kronan are also super convenient. The only area for improvement is that black out curtains/shades could be more effective. "

"Lets start with the bad, the bad is we stayed at 401 and there is no elevator so I had to carry our luggage all the way up to 4th floor. When we got to the room, took a shower and drain clogged right away which means they did not clean the drain down below properly. They were very attentive and very good at communicating so they took care and sent someone right away but unfortunately we could not let them in because we were so tired from our flight.
