"We had a terrific stay at the Criterion - Felicity was very welcoming on arrival and her sidekick [apologies, I didn't get her name] was very helpful throughout our stay. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable - I like a reasonably firm bed, and the choice of pillows was good. Nice fluffy towels, good water pressure in the shower and a spacious room. Would have liked instructions re the heatpump, as I'm not familiar with operating heatpumps, and the shower 'leaks' in one corner, but apart from those small issues, our stay was excellent."

"Lisa and Paul's bach is perfectly situated between the town/beach and the waterfall on the outskirts of Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula. With an easy walk (via a bridge over the stream) to everything Akaroa has to offer and a short drive to all of Banks, it couldn't be in a better location in the woods and amongst the song birds yet north-facing and receiving a ton of sunlight. And the house itself is gorgeous and fun, with everything you need, nothing you don't need, and the perfectly sized for a couple or even several people. We were lucky enough to stay here for an extended period of time and recommend the home -- and Lisa and Paul who will make sure you are well taken care of -- with the greatest possible enthusiasm. Stay here if you can! And take good care of the Bellbird Bach : )"
