"an old French family home furnished with old second-hand furniture. No safety or fire safety items. in poor condition, including the beds. The interior had a recent lick of paint, but this did not cover the imperfections. Not suitable for renting out in my opinion. The pool was dirty, and the decking was well broken and unsafe. We only stayed for one night because of our late arrival. We found other accommodation in nearby Villefagnan for the rest of our stay in France. i can only send photos by email ."

"We were very happy with our stay at Hobogite. Lots of thoughtful care from our hosts Rob & Lene to provide everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Much appreciated!! It was extremely peaceful and the garden & grounds were gorgeous. We have booked again for next year which I think says it all. If I might be permitted to make a couple of small constructive criticisms. The key press was awkward to use, especially in the dark. We had eight or nine days of rain & therefore spent more time inside than we would have liked. The sofa wasn't the most comfortable, but it was OK. Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The pool was lovely and although we were only able to use a couple of times due to weather, hopefully next year we'll spend more time down there. Rob and Lene, in lots of little ways, show how they genuinely care about the comfort of their guests & that they enjoy their stay. Who can ask for more? "

"Amazing property with everything a large group could possibly need. We were a group of three families, with children aged 5-11 and had a wonderful time here. The bedrooms and bathroom configuration was spot on, and the kitchen was well extremely equipped. Pool and outside space also great for all of us. A couple of small issues we experienced on arrival were quickly rectified. We would definitely return. "

"We had a lovely stay here. Hosts very welcoming and helpful with information about the area. Lovely big room and ensuite overlooking the river. Comfortable bed and the room had a fan! The only stay of 4 that did provide a fan in the room which was a godsend in the heat that weekend. Really nice breakfast, fresh fruit salad, the greek yogurts were delicious, croissants, bread, cereals, jams, honey, my husband particularly liked the butter, ham, cheese, all very enjoyable. We hadn't intended to stay out late but the music festival was on, which was brilliant, but dark on walk home as no street lighting. Just make sure you have phone battery for torch to walk back late. This is not a negative, just a tip, because the place is lovely to stay over where it is situated on the river. "

"Perfect house for a big family get together. Lots of spaces for people to gather or just do their own thing. The highlight was undoubtedly the large swimming pool where everyone spent most of their time. Nice outdoor dining area and BBQ where we ate most of our meals. The patio at the front of the house was perfect for sitting in shade when the sun got too hot, looking out into the green rolling lawn and a beautiful redwood tree. Lots of games for the kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table too. Very well equipped kitchen with separate larder, two fridges, coffee machines and everything a cook would need. Patrice was very helpful and responsive. "

The location is wonderfully scenic and quiet and Thomas as host was brilliant - helpful and on hand to help manage the pool and share info about local activities and possible trips/places to visit. Very welcoming and friendly. The house was lovely - with plenty of space and everything you need to just unwind and relax. Evenings spent sitting outside under the stars were lovely. "
