"Really lovely Riad in the medina old town. A driver picked us up at the train station that we had arranged as extra who was really helpful. Staff at the Riad were also really helpful and it felt safe inside. However, for us being in the heart of Fez, as soon as we went outside, were hassled a lot by locals to help guide us (which of course is their way of trying to get you to pay) - so if you are prepared for that, and the staff at the Riad also warn about this, and not to get too deep into the market alone, that’s fine. But if you are worried about having to ignore people who claim to want to help you in the streets, definitely take a guide who will help look after you. Unfortunately we didn’t have long to investigate the rest of Fez apart from this area as we only stayed one night. So mixed feelings about Fez itself, and am sure there are many other wonderful parts to discover, and the Riad was wonderful - if you tell them in the morning that you want to eat there, they will cook for you, which we would have done if we had known as the breakfast the next morning was amazing."

"We enjoyed our 3-night stay at Riad Braya. The riad was not very crowded while we were there, so the service was good and the staff was always available. The main downside is that room cleaning was random from one day to another, e.g. some days we had body lotion, but the other we did not. It was a nice oasis from the craziness of the Medina and all the scammers who try to tell you that "the roads are closed"."

"Our stay at The Marriot was amazing. My daughters and I were welcomed warmly by the hotel manager, Hussain, who personally made sure that our stay would be comfortable. All the staff from the restaurant staff, workers around the hotel and even the reception workers were friendly and made sure that we were taken care of. The drivers, Muhammad and Abdul, not only made sure that we arrived at our destinations on time but also walked us to ensure our we didnt get lost. Amin from customer service went out of his way to make sure all our needs were taken care of. When we left it was sad...it was like saying bye to family. "
