"The stay is about a 30 minute drive from LaFortuna, it is very remarkable with great views of volcano and just walking around, with the most friendly and helpful staff. They make planning excursions and transportation from the resort very easy, the restaurant bar and pool are fantastic. Staff made the whole trip even better, all friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend a stay"

"Great hotel to stay at in La Fortuna. A beautiful view of the Volcano from the back patio. It’s a smaller hotel, with a few hot springs that we never spent any time in. This was a short trip. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was very tasty and they had ok iced lattes (they were just a bit watery). The dinner menu wasn’t super impressive, but most of the dinner menus we saw in Costa Rica are not. "

"Great family place, relaxing, fairly quiet in early May. Nice pools, hot springs very hot to hot to warm as they cascade down terrace. Sauna was hot as well, great shower booths around pool. Breakfast buffet included was awesome and reasonable priced dinners delicious with incredible view of volcano if you sit on edge of open restaurant (no AC but was ok in am and dinner with fans). Large portions, our two sons did not go hungry. Staff was amazing and friendly, rooms clean, room AC cold, grounds well kept. Loved the chill lounge happy hour. Visited early May, did morning excursions zip line, waterfall, hiking, expect some rain in afternoon, really loved Volcano lodge. "

"We had a terrific visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No Spanish needed. Almost every sign is in English, staff speaks English. Fantastic location to the volcano, and monkeys and birds are easily seen from the property. Highly recommend!"

"This stay was great but short. Everything from the bedding to the lobby to the restaurant was perfect. Only thing that they need to improve is fixing the Jets in the Jacuzzi because the pumps evidently are not working. And if they can make the sauna or steam area hotter would be great .other than that Pura Vida fantastic. Also the best shower ever . Staff very friendly and go out of there way to make your stay memorable "

"I totally recommend staying at this hotel. You get your own villa facing the volcano. They also have two pools that also have a view of the volcano. They have nice trails and amazing breakfast. Easy check in and check out. Friendly staff. Over all great experience. "

"Tabacón is an incredible resort! The springs is much larger than you would expect, with many beautiful parts to find privacy and relaxation. The drinks are incredible and views are even better. We indulged in a couples volcanic mud massage- and it was the best massage ever! The spa is beautiful, peaceful and worth it! One thing to consider is that it is a 20minute ride to town, so you are pretty much committed to eating at the resort- which is not cheap. Each drink is $15 and meals are $20 . The breakfast options are a buffet at $35 a person or room service- which is about $20 . (Summer 2024) The food was amazing, but we were definitely expecting some cheaper options before we arrived. "
