Relax in this bright space with the sea and the Temple of Concordia as a backdrop, just steps from the Cathedral of Agrigento, Capital of Culture 2025!
La Casuzza al Duomo is a bright apartment overlooking the sea and the Temple of Concordia.
It can accommodate up to three people and is located in the heart of Agrigento's historic center, just steps from its Cathedral!
It is a project conceived in continuation of that of the 'Casuzza di Girgenti', also curated with dedication and enthusiasm by architect Vincenzo Castelli.
It is particularly suited to those who empathize with art due to the presence of designer objects or the questionable irreverence of works such as those by Giuseppe Veneziano, Corpicrudi, or the controversial genius of Uwe.
Each work is a limited edition, numbered, and signed.
It comes with its own certificate of authenticity, so responsible use is required.
The city of Agrigento has been proclaimed the Italian Capital of Culture 2025!
It is spread over two levels: the ground floor and the first floor, connected by a staircase.
The ground floor leads to an open-plan kitchen with a two-burner stove, refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker, and microwave.
A spacious relaxation area with armchairs.
A windowless bathroom with soap.
A queen-size bed (120 x 190 cm) with a memory foam mattress and pillows, and a hypoallergenic, cool, and anti-mite mattress topper.
The open-plan space has a window with a sea view, air conditioning, a table, armchairs, clothes rack, mirror, and a Smart TV.
A key-operated safe is also available.
A comfortable internal staircase leads to the upper floor, which features a window overlooking the sea and the Temple of Concordia.
There is a non-dividable double bed (160 x 190 cm), also with a memory foam mattress and pillows and a hypoallergenic, cool, and anti-mite mattress topper; there are clothes hangers, armchairs, air conditioning, and a Smart TV.
The mosaic bathroom has a window and is equipped with a large shower (shower tray: 140 x 90 cm), bidet, hairdryer, shower cap, and essentials.
It is adjacent to a makeup area with a mirror.
High-speed fiber optics (free Wi-Fi) is available throughout the apartment.
Both air conditioners are heat pumps, capable of combining cooling and heating.
To limit carbon dioxide emissions and protect the environment, upon leaving the apartment, the air conditioning, if on, will turn off, and only the courtesy lights and charging sockets for your devices will be turned on.
You will have access to the entire apartment, except for a small, private storage room in the larger bathroom.
At 'Casuzza' you will find comfort and attention to detail to ensure a pleasant stay in the "most beautiful City of Mortals"...
The Casuzza al Duomo is located on a hill, and access requires climbing short, wide steps. It is located in the heart of Agrigento's historic center, nestled on a hill overlooking the Valley of the Temples and the sea. Its typically Arab urban structure is among the most authentic and best preserved in Sicily.
I therefore recommend it to anyone who is fascinated by the typical narrow alleys, courtyards, numerous up-and-down stairways (not suitable for those with mobility issues), and numerous lively little squares where one can experience a return to the past, to the authentic.
Outside, in the courtyard below, you are likely to encounter cats, mostly dozing!
Upon arrival, all guests will be required to provide identification for legal registration.
Only registered guests are admitted to the Casuzza.
Upon check-in, you will be required to pay the tourist tax in cash: €1.00 per day per person (for the first 4 days).
Children under the age of fourteen are exempt.
There is no daily cleaning service, but cleaning supplies are available in the apartment.
For stays longer than a week, the entire apartment will be cleaned free of charge, with a change of sheets and towels, upon agreement with the guest.
There is no washing machine.
Invoices cannot be issued.
Enjoy Agrigento! 🔆
