"We had a wonderful week in this beautiful house . The grounds are huge and full of surprises . We enjoyed the pool and hot tub but gave the sauna a miss! There are plenty of lovely places to visit in the area and although the house is up a quiet forested hill it is not remote and has all the shops you need within a 10 min drive. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful All together a great stay."

"Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille. La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée. Beaucoup de jeux sont à disposition, ce qui est appréciable pour les enfants et ados ! La piscine est très agréable et bien entretenue (une échelle serait toutefois souhaitable pour sortir plus facilement de l’eau). Les commerces sont proches et les lieux de visite aussi (villages, châteaux…)."

"Le Soutenac is a generous and comfortable place to enjoy rural French life. The description of the house was very accurate and there were no hidden surprises! The kitchen is large and well-equipped, there are many places to sit, eat, drink or relax. The boulangerie was shut for the first half of our stay but Neuvic is an easy cycle away (I guess even Mme Boulanger needs a holiday!)"

"A lovely gite in a beautiful remote rural setting with a fantastic pool in an enclosed courtyard. The surrounding countryside is very picturesque but near to the pretty towns of Brantome and Boudeilles. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers). "We stayed here for the second time and had forgotten quite how good it is. It has the most equipped kitchen with every utensil you wish for. There are several fridges so for a large group it is easy to cook and have space for drinks. We loved our stay and are grateful for the thought and care that has gone to furnishing this house. "We had a great stay with Cath. The gite is extremely well equipped with all the extras you need including washing liquid, dish washer tabs etc. the bed is very big and comfortable with good quality bedding; my husband is 6ft 4 and he found the bed a good size. There is a great garden and private pool; great for us and our dog. The nearest bakery is a 10 minute drive but a van delivering fresh bread and pastries comes to the hamlet twice a week. House is lovely and unspoilt, we loved it. But for some the interior lighting might be on the dim side. This did not bother us as we were out by the pool most of the time. "The house was beautiful, cozy and spacious and it offers a quiet and private get-away. Anne was very responsive to our enquiries and was quick to resolve any issues. Please note that there is very minimal wifi and bathroom towels are not included but can be provided for at a cost of £10 per towel. We had a lovely time!"
