"Me my wife decided to try something different from the usual hotel packages, we were attending our daughter’s wedding and were unsure how many would be in our party, so this seemed ideal, as it sleeps up to seven. Our son and grandson did eventually stay with us. The hosts met us at the airport upon arrival and took us to the hire car I had prebooked through them and led us to the villa. The villa was just as described. The hosts were so helpful and always available on the phone if required. The local taverna does wonderful traditional Greek food and is very welcoming. If you want a relaxing stay, this is ideal. If you want to see more of Crete, as we did, a car is a must. Heraklion is only 20mins car journey and has great shops and an abundance of restaurants to choose from. If we return to Crete, we would stay again. Adonis and Lisa were wonderful, so welcoming and friendly."

"A lovely traditional house in a typical Cretan village away from the tourist hotspots. Our host spoke good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The bakery sells wonderful trays of Baklava which we enjoyed on our spacious roof terrace, a great place for breakfast too. "

"Perfect place to stay away from the chaos of Heraklion! The food in the restaurant is AMAZING - definitely try the grilled mushrooms if you can (we had it twice)! The homemade white and red wine are also amazing! The room was clean and spacious, and the property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Nicolas was an amazing dinner host. We loved every minute of our stay! "

"Arrived at the residence with a heartwarming welcome. We booked residence for approx one month. Off the balcony, you have amazing views both day and night looking over Venerato village. enough due to the circumstances. Residence is a 15 min walk into Venerato which was perfect for us as we have relatives and close friends living in the Venerato. A 5 min drive if your driving through. During our stay, we’ve occurred issues with the air conditioning. Listing stated that they have air conditioning however, during the hottest season (July, August), their air conditioners were like fans. The air conditioners that they had, you were not able to set it at 75example, and was not giving out cool air. Despite this inconvenience, owner made it possible to install 2 air conditioners. One in the MB, and one in the smaller bedroom. They also attempted to install another in the other small bedrooms and the living room, however the technicians were not able to install due to discrepancies of the home of where they would need to install. We had left the 2 new AC from the bedrooms on at 70F (20C) with the doors open and was sufficient enough to cool the entire house despite consideration that no one was able to have any privacy of being able to close their door. We did not have any access to the MB closet, so we had to utilize all of the dresser drawers and the small bedroom closet.Overall , owners were very understanding and extremely humble to make sure we were comfortable."

"Having been on a large family villa holiday in Maleme the week before, moving to a smaller villa was expected to be a bit of a challenge. However, Christina 1 was excellent for a reduced number of 6 with adequate bedroom and bathroom options and a great outdoor space for swimming, play and eating. A quiet village off the beaten track was excellent with a local sore which we used frequently and a good taverna next door serving good food. All in all a very good experience and thanks to Eliza for meeting us, showing us the way and the extensive information."

"My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay, 5/5. The host Stelios is very welcoming, helpful and kind. The mansion is beautiful, our room was amazing with a private balcony and the pool looks over the valley and Heraklion. Go to the village restaurant Stelios recommends, it was one of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. I saw a review complaining about a dog, the property has a fence around it and a gate so I don’t understand the complaint. I also didn’t hear or see a dog and the area seemed perfectly safe."
