"House was clean with breathtaking views as advertised! Was not prepared for steep hill access to villa. Took a few trips to be comfortable with the drive; recommend a SUB rental.Communication with owner and house manager was on point. Owner provided detailed directions, as per location and surrounding areas. However, still have to be careful with GPS directions as it can take you areas that are not suitable for tourist driving. We had a wonderful family trip, and would recommend Villa Cassandra!"

"This is a superb villa option and perfect for our mixed age group of parents, adult children and grandma. The villa is very clean, really well stocked with what you need and with stunning views over Souda Bay. You need a car to explore but we loved the location. Plaka has a number of restaurants and is only a short stroll away and the hidden cove of Koutalas is an absolute gem."

"Good location within easy walking distance to local amenities/tavernas/bars. A couple of hills on the way back and the old part of Vamos is quite uneven so heals are not such a good idea. Lovely village though, quite quiet and not touristy at all. Definitely one to come back to."

"This was a beautiful, spacious house set in the foothills with an amazing view. It was peaceful , clean, and had everything I needed in the kitchen. The hosts were easy to communicate with. I struggled with finding it. Google Maps directed me to the area but not the exact address, and although directions were provided, I didn't find it on my own. "The property is very well appointed and is big enough for a family of 10 to fit in very comfortably. There are just a few points to mention, you will need a car if staying at this villa as the local town is a good 20-30 minute walk away. Some of the indoor furniture and work surfaces have seen better days but we were impressed with the twice weekly cleaning and the attention to detail. The garden and pool are very well kept. "Villa Tamos is a wonderful, well-equipped, spacious villa in a beautiful setting and we absolutely loved our time there. The pool is as perfect as the view and grounds and Stuart and Lorraine were super-helpful hosts. The villa is well located for exploring Crete and the restaurants/bars/shops of Almyrida are only ten minutes drive away. There is a long unmade track to the property, which needs driving with care, but it's well worth it, and we hope to return one day! Thank you for everything....

"The views took our breath away every day. The location is out of this world. The panoramic sea views, the sound of the crickets, the mountains. The pool is a great size and there are many balconies and terraces to enjoy the views. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. There are many towns within close driving distance and lovely beaches nearby too. We’d come back in a heartbeat."

"Spectacular views from poolside and villa balcony. Well equipped kitchen not lacking for anything. Spacious lounge and dining area. The air conditioning unit probably needs a service in this room. Bedrooms were excellent sized beds and comfy firm matresses. Airconditioning was perfect. Pool was a great size and always quiet and the views towards the sea were spectacular. Behind the house is a dramatic mountain backdrop."

"We loved this villa which accommodated our large group perfectly, although the sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable and creaky. The pool was amazing as was the short walk to a semi private beach or a little bit further to a bustling but still reasonably quiet public beach with lounge chairs. Our concierge, Mary was very welcoming and helpful throughout the whole stay. Would definitely stay here again."
