This property was quiet and had great outdoor spaces Nicely renovated interior. Thoughtful details to make stay pleasant. Nice break from traditional hotels.
The room was clean, figured out how to use the tv, had a hard time getting some heat using the remote. The shower door didn't close completely which caused water to leak out onto the floor. The house itself was quite impressive.

We loved this property. It was just what we were looking for…. Charming, thoughtfully planned, well decorated with fun extras. The hot tub, nature trail, pool table and games added special touches that helped us relax and enjoy spending time together. We stayed in suite 2 which had everything we needed noises maker, coffee, chocolate. I felt welcomed and thought of. Would definitely come back.
The property was beautiful and it literally had everything we needed and more! They even had a firstaid kit which was useful after finding some ticks from our Shenandoah hike. Loved the pla e and will definately be back!
I might have missed it but would have been nice to have something directing us to local shops and restaurants. The room was lovely and the trail was nice by the creek. Only negative with the traffic noise from the Hwy. We had a front room that faced it. I really liked that you had several fire pits available for the guest including the wood.
We loved this beautiful mountain inn. The room is spotless and well-appointed, with a splendidly comfortable bed. The front porch is a fabulous place to sit in a rocker and watch the world go by. The creekside trail is a lovely walk with picnic spots to use as desired. The outdoor hot tub is a joy to the senses and tired muscles. It's very quiet with Blue Mountain Brewery just 5 minutes down the road for good food and brews, also featuring live music on Wednesdays. You can also play billiards or chess in the game room. We loved it.
Great location for visiting Nelson county hiking trails, wineries and breweries. Room was great, loved the fireplaces outside. Ice cream was a nice touch. Would have been nice, though, to have an actual ice maker (the one there was not working) and a refrigerator.
Checkin was easy. Snacks and kitchen area were nice. Nice touches like white noise machine, eye masks, etc were a really unexpected and nice touch.
Our room was a bit cramped, and it would’ve been nice to have some plates and cutlery in the kitchen. The microwave was way too loud too. We felt like we were disturbing everyone, every time we used it.
We enjoyed the ease of checking in, the snacks were good. No breakfast, but we didn't expect it. The walk to the creek was really nice and was enjoyed with our coffee. We stayed here at the start of our blue ridge parkway drive. Would highly recommend.
It was an experience that felt better than staying in a hotel. It had its own unique, home-like atmosphere that felt very comfortable. The digital locks on the front door and the room door was very convenient and made me
Feel secure. They provided eye masks, wine glasses, a wine cooler, and so much more. Cleanliness was impeccable.
This is a primo property rental. It met and exceeded my expectation. Immaculate, the smallest detail was taken care of, beautiful room, divine bed, gorgeous property. What can i say...PERFECT!
Historic home with recent updates. Many nice amenities set this home apart. A pool, hiking trail, swing, multiple firepits, a freezer with ice cream! Our room #4 was very nice and comfortable but the bathroom is a little small. They had a coffee bar with probably 30 different kinds of coffee.
Clean room and very nice amenities with multiple outside sitting areas. Traffic noise was excessive particularly in the front bedrooms. No staff on premises, but replies to questions were returned very quickly.

Enjoyed our stay at your beautiful. Only negative, we couldn’t get the fireplace to work.
Not a B&B, but was a very comfortable nights stay in a convenient location to much hiking, wineries, and breweries. The self-service aspect of the property worked well. The property management team was very accessible via text and quickly helped with our 2 contacts. The furnishings inside and out of the property are well kept and there is a nice hiking path on property down to a nearby creek.
Our stay at the Afton Mountain Inn was peaceful and lovely with many beautiful outdoor spots to enjoy the property - the pool area, fire pit, patio. When we had an issue with the entry code, the staff was responsive and resolved our issue quickly. We enjoyed the location as it is near multiple vineyards, Blue Mountain Brewing and an easy drive to Waynesboro and Charlottesville. The room was nicely appointed with some modern furnishings that still felt right at home in the historic property.
It should be noted, there is no staff member on duty generally at the Inn. We only saw one staff member on the morning we checked out, so it is something of a hands off approach to service. That said, most things were well stocked and we wanted for little during our stay.
No one there…..NO ONE. Called to ask how we could access the building. We’re given a code that did not work, then given one that did. We then needed a code for the room we reserved. Since we were then given different codes, we decided to leave the door open while we brought a small amount of items in from the car. We were the only people in the building/ house. Never again ! Also, extra charges were applied to the price. We did not realize it because we only had Cell service while outside. They should at least have a human greet you upon arrival. Very strange overall !!!!!!!
