"Incredible weekend! Such hospitality, welcome drinks, burley, valet, the whole nine yards. Beautifully decorated and renovated room with all the luxuries! Great choice of restaurants and so many activities to do on site! Out favorites were the obstacle course, rising e-bikes around and the spa! Dinner at Aquarius and Fawn n Fable was delicious! The patisserie is great and breakfast in our room was perfect! We are going back this summer with the kids! "

"The location cannot be beat—lakefront, quiet neighborhood with sandy entrance to the lake. Our kids and dog loved the easy lake access, and we rebted and launched kayaks from the Acquatic Center. The hot tub and sun porch were amazing relaxation areas, and the whole family enjoyed playing Wii sports. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was a great gas grill outside. We made most meals at home and enjoyed a bonfire each night. Weather was perfect and we opened windows and kept fans running. I can see it being hot later in summer, but it was perfect for Memorial Day weekend. Exactly as advertised and we would definitely stay again."

"What a wonderful, relaxing, tranquil retreat. David and Pearle were such gracious hosts, providing so many amenities for our comfort/enjoyment. Morning coffee on the dock and evenings in the hot tub with beautiful lake views were a great way to start and end each day. We enjoyed roasted marshmallows and s'mores by the campfire. The information binder on the counter was so helpful, especially for giving us ideas of places to visit in the area, such as Swallow Falls State Park, Deep Creek State Park, and Fallingwater. Owl's Nest was the perfect place for us to rest, relax, and recharge. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!"

"This is a very nice hotel with spectacular views. It’s slightly dated, but that is also what gives this hotel its charm. You can tell it’s been around for awhile and has a lot of history. The dinner was delicious, the beds were comfortable, and the fireplace in the lobby was wonderful. My only complaint is there was a wedding taking place when we stayed, and for the most part, it was fine. However, around 1:00am, guests from the wedding brought the party back to their room, which was right next door to our room, and were loud and didn’t quiet down until well after 3:30am. That is not any fault of the hotel, just rude, noisy guests not considering there are people sleeping in the next room. The hotel offers plenty of places to socialize, away from the rooms, that could’ve been an option. "
