"The place was adequate for our needs and we were comfortable for sleeping and showering. We had an issue with some noise but was promptly taken care of by the owner and his staff. The owner is a gentleman and he treated us very well. He owns the restaurant downstairs as well and we had a nice meal there as well. Transportation in Bari is terrible though. Although there was a train station right next to us, but we could never figure out how to get in and what ticket to buy to get to the next...

"Matera is not the easiest place to get to in first place. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change plans and arrived by coach bus instead of rental car. The hotel contacted us a couple days before our check in and once they learned about our change if plans, they helpfully pointed out to us that our bus station is actually quite a bit of distance from the hotel. They then booked a taxi for us that waited at the bus station and took us straight into the restricted area inside the old...

"This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at and we have travelled a lot! It is a small hotel and with that you get fantastic service. The breakfast was the most amazing hotel breakfast we’ve ever had- everything was fresh, local and homemade. It was so delicious I can’t put it into words.
