"Great staff, couldn’t do enough including one lending me his phone cable. Reasonably priced accommodation and food. Beautiful setting near Beamish museum. Large comfy bed, bath robes, bottled water and teabag’s etc. Shower grouting could do with a clean but good pressure. Very shallow washbasin which splashed you when the taps turned on if you’re not aware of it. Would definitely stay again."

Lovely welcome and check-in spoiled by an older lady I believe called Nicola (that’s what came up on the digital till when I purchased a drink later in the evening) who involved herself unnecessarily in the check-in process. "A picturesque inn, in a beautiful area. Staff made us feel welcomed the moment we stepped through the door. Throughout our stay, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy room with spacious bathroom. Meals were excellent. Chefs are first class and every meal cooked to perfection. Quality food. A hearty breakfast provided a great start to our days. Even the dog got a sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone at the Bay Horse Inn. "

"What a lovely old school pub and hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was great (a lot of locals seemed to be eating here too). Room was simple but comfortable and very clean. There are a few areas that are a little tired and worn, but not to the level of impacting guests. I would be happy to stay here again"

"It was exactly what I needed. However, it has thin walls, and I could hear the people in the pub downstairs watching the Euros and also the television in the room next door. The beds have a wooden end at the feet, which can be an issue for tall people (180cm). It has a garden with a great view."
