"Our stay was lovely but our bathroom could have been cleaner and updating is really needed . Found hair in bath tub when we arrived kinda off putting .. but overall we really enjoyed the stay our room was very spacious , which is lovely when u have 3 children "

In addition, excellent rooms and facilities, great food (e.g., best seafood chowder I've ever had) and central location with all shops within short walking distance. Though I was on a business trip, I had time to admire some of the beauty of Co. Mayo and fell in love with it. "

"This property has a lot to offer as a bed and breakfast option. Strandhill is a charming seaside resort with a definite surfer vibe. The services not offered by the hotel are easily accessed nearby. The reception staff were very helpful. The issues that prevented me from giving a five star review were the badly worn carpet in the bedroom and the 3 minute 'make-up' service."

"Very nice hotel - clean and comfortable. Unfortunately no sockets near the bed for charging phone etc. Dining area lacking in atmosphere but pleasant enough though they need to install some window blinds. And the steps into the dining area are an accident waiting to happen!"
