"I never review hotels but this one is an exception. Knockranny is a true gem, and if you are in the area, you won't regret staying here. Everything about this hotel is perfect - from staff to bed sheets to the hotel grounds. I'll have to come back to Westport so I can stay here again!"

"Enjoyed the hotel. First class facilities and first class staff. Ate in bar on both nights and couldn’t fault the food. Only downside for me and it was a minor one is that they didn’t provide shower gel .."

"There were no instructions about how to turn on or adjust heat or hot water. Some dishes were not clean. Kitchen was missing some essentials (no coffee maker, no salad spinner, no covered casserole dish, no salad bowl,. But the washing machine leaked badly, gushing water.The drying rack was broken.This well situated cottage has three bedrooms and once things are fixed and the house instructions are you improved it could be ok. A table broken since October has not been fixed 6 months later.I have never offered a negative review but this house was not up to anyone's standards. "

"This is the best stay I ever had: gorgeous breakfast, big room with view on sea and mountains, you hear the sea all night you see the stars at night. You have a desk and a round table- we stay 4 days- a double and a single bed. We dreamed looking at the sea when it was too bad to go out, we could walk to the beach when it was nice. The only thing is the check-in: it is between 2 and 5 pm if not arranged otherwise but we didn’t know that all places to eat were closed at 5 pm - we were outside the normal tourist period- so we were quiet hungry the first night!"

"Very enjoyable once we were able to get access to the property. We were told to contact Karen but no phone number left asking local neighbours did they now any phone numbers and one neighbour new the cleaner and she gave us the code to access the property. For the 4 days we were there nobody contacted us or check if we were even there So check in procedure very poor when you’ve been travelling 13hours"
