"Great location and staff "

"Our stay was for a surprise 21st birthday party and we were completely in awe when we arrived. The drive along the private road is stunning breathtaking views of Abergavenny and surrounded by animals. The area has such low light pollution, it was lovely to sit outside at night and see the stars so clearly. The area is private and secure as we had children with us that loved running around outside. The property has so much space that no one felt on top of me another which was lovely as there as 7 adults and 2 child children. The kitchen is well equipped the only issue was no freezer but we were able to manage around this. Adrian the host was friendly and supportive and any issues were quickly addressed and he was very relaxed allowing us to come early and leave later which was incredibly helpful and made our stay even more relaxing. If you want to spend some time “unplugged” and in a calm, relaxing environment I can not recommend “The Coach House” enough! Honestly we are already discussing staying again. Again Adrian was so welcoming, he provided local cake and Welsh cakes, which went down well along with milk, bread; butter and orange juice and a bottle of fizz. Which was well received. There are lots of supermarkets locally as well as lots of local coffee shops as well as independent stores which as lovely to explore and enjoy. Honestly I can not recommend this place enough. "This was our third visit (possible fourth) and it was a pleasure to return. It is an excellent spot for those who love nature and walking, there are many great walks from the door and especially when you have collie dogs as we have who are happy to roam in the hills for hours. Lots to do in the area and good food to be had in local pubs. The property is always comfortable and spotlessly clean. We love that the property is surrounded by the big meadows even if the grasses and dandelions were so tall we could lose our feet! Peaceful, remote yet close to Abergavenny for shopping etc. Love it! We will be back."

"Our stay was very relaxing and Carol made us so welcome (as did the gorgeous dogs). The Blorenge room has a beautiful view and you can walk down to the River Usk from the house, where we saw and heard so many bird species, and watched fish jumping for insects. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We had a tour of the farm which was really interesting. We were sad to leave and would definitely stay here again."

"Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds, very peaceful area. Toys for children, loads of books, close to Monmouth Brecon canal for walks or cycling. Lots to do in the area."
