Sixth or seventh visit to Moness. As per all other trips we really enjoyed our stay, until check out. We were told at check out that we had to pay £25 due to the fact we had our dog with us. At no point was thus raised by Expedia or the resort in their confirmation email or check in process. When I asked why we weren’t informed there was no coherent answer, just some mention of Expedia T&C’s. At no point did Expedia highlight this.
The cottage we stayed in was dog friendly, in fact we have stayed in it on an earlier visit. Why they would seek to charge extra for a dog to stay in a dog friendly cottage is beyond me. Checking out at the end of a holiday is surely an opportunity for the resort to engage with the client and hopefully make the guest want to return? The handling of this situation was poor and the staff simply could not provide detail as to why the charge was not communicated to before the holiday and indeed on check in.
With this level of service we will find it very difficult to return.
