"Excellent and professional staff very polite, comfy clean rooms with easy access after hours. Lots of parking very good for disabled people with mobility problems such as myself. Food was excellent with more than enough. One down side was I was woken early morning by dogs barking as it’s a dog friendly but at least I was up for breakfast so was nothing to complain would recommend you to stay "

"Weather was not to kind to us but this hotel and the staff gave everything so we could enjoy our break away. Evening meal was lovely along with the breakfast which was amazing. We only had a double bed which although comfy didn’t give us much room not sure now if we could’ve got a king size but would deffo book one next time if we return"

"Nice staff. We were walking the Pennine Way and got there at about 6.20pm. Were told last orders for food was 7pm so mad rush to get in a fit state to eat! Food was very nice. Rooms nice. Would recommend. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Calf’s Head, Clitheroe. We attended a wedding at a venue not far from here, so it was a great location for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the downstairs bar/dining was an asset to our stay. We both enjoyed a lovely full English the morning after with the option of fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The outdoor space here is gorgeous so would definitely recommend going here to enjoy it on a nice day. The only criticism I can give is that the...

"We notified Maypole Inn of our expected arrival time and Staff kindly kept the kitchen open for us as we were late arriving - Excellent evening meal and generous portions. Additionally, we were allowed to use the kitchen freezer overnight for our cool box. "Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Food and drink were both great and reasonably priced for the quality. The room gorgeous but I do recommend a pair of ear buds/plugs as it is on the main street and rooms to the front do have traffic going by from early in the morning."
