This was a REAL CASTLE, two of walls were from 1425..AMAZING. We were able to walk around and enjoy the beautiful grouds (there was even a tennis court on sight!) And lots of beautiful flowers and trees. The location is somewhat remote, and very quiet. But you can almost imagine it hundreds of years ago. That said, the guest rooms were of good size, very clean and modern. One of our favorite places we stayed in southern Ireland. I do not believe there was a lift/elevator, which did not matter...

From the moment you pull in the driveway you get a sense of calm. The landscape is absolutely stunning. You are greeted at the door by one of the owners. They show you around then take you upstairs to your room. The decor was very calming and having its own bathroom in your room is a great bonus. Breakfast was made to order and prepared by o e of the owners as well. These 2 men have created a BnB that they should be extremely proud of. Thought we would be staying in an old servants quarters but the accommodations were fantastic. While staying in the castle is nice, the town home style rows of family sized places are great. We had a fire going when we arrived and enjoyed our too brief of a stay. Recommend staking a week or more.

Cute place to stay above a lovely pub and on the water. Good value for money. Pros: dog friendly, beach access, beverage tray with sparkling water and tea/instant coffee and a kettle (always nice). Little things that could be improved: there was no full size bath towel, just a hand towel and shower mat, window had been left ajar for fresh air (which is great) but meant that by the time I arrived, there were a ton of knats/midges/little bugs inside and outside the window.
