"The property is stretched along the waterfront and spread across. It was hard to get buggies when you needed it as there was no schedules etc for buggy and sometime 3 would go down one way and none the other. The staff are friendly and always greeting you. We had some issues with missing room service but what was irritating was took them 3-4 calls and couple of hours to get fresh towels sent. The room we stayed in was fairly old and bathrooms etc were not as clean as I would expect a five star property to be. I normally stay at the Sofitel down the road and there is definitely a difference in attention to detail compared to Hilton. Breakfast was good and had most items that you would want. The biggest drawcard for this property is the location and views - I sincerely hope they would pay more attention to detail to deliver a better product"

"Nice property, small enough to get around easily. Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. Highlight was the soaking tub on the balcony and the enthusiastic friendliness of the staff. Low points: spa was meh, did not have the infrared sauna and cold plunge as advertised and the steam room was out of order. The food was really not good. Breakfast was poorly cooked, like raw bacon and hard boiled poached eggs that took forever to get. I had dinner at their fine dining venue, also not good. The best was the pool grill where I had a nice chicken tajine with quinoa. The New Zealand ice cream for sale is to die for. At one breakfast, I asked for a second latte to take away and I was charged $10. That type of nickel and diming is unpleasant. The staff occasionally breaks out in song which is really lovely and they are quite talented. Lots of kids around so I am thinking this resort is more family leaning and not really romantic."

"Our room was near the pools and lagoon which meant easy access. There were lots of free activities offered, some of which were in the large outdoor pool if you wanted to join in. The staff were very friendly, helpful and seemed to be happy to be working at the Marriott no matter what they were doing...and had beautiful singing voices which we often heard if a celebration was held or a person was leaving. The breakfast offered a large, varied selection of food for all nationalities to choose from was an enjoyable start to the day, The downside to our stay was that we really enjoyed our time in a beautiful setting but the cost meant we wouldn't be able to return for a while."

"We return frequently—it truly feels like a home away from home. A fantastic family-friendly property that strikes the perfect balance between comfort and practicality. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with large, functional bathrooms and the added convenience of laundry facilities. There is plenty of room for larger families or groups of friends to relax without feeling crowded, making it an ideal base for both short and extended stays. The easy access to the pool is a real bonus, and the food at Wet Edge was consistently excellent. What stood out most was how convenient and thoughtfully designed the property is for families. Everything feels easy, comfortable, and geared towards making your stay enjoyable. We would happily return."
