Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Trans-Himalayan region between India and Tibet. Reaching here takes almost 12 hours of off-road drive from last inhabited town. In this middle of nowhere land, lies a 1000 year old monastery Kye Gompa, which is home to a few hundred Monks. It's hard to comprehend that so many years back few humans actually managed to reach here and made it their home.
