"Rocpool Reserve is a beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. We stayed in one of the suites with a private hot tub and sauna, and the room itself was spacious with a very nice bathroom. We were especially looking forward to enjoying the hot tub and sauna.

"This could be an amazing place to stay. The grounds are impeccably maintained and beautiful. Unfortunately, our room smelled musty and of tobacco smoke. We couldn't believe what we were walking into! We arrived late, otherwise we would have left immediately. My wife awoke in the middle of the night nauseated from the smell. The deck restaurant was understaffed and the food unimpressive. Deferred maintenance issues were apparent with the buildings."
"We stayed in the gatehouse with our daughter. While the house was clean it had certainly seen better days. Soft plaster on the kitchen ceiling from a leak. Old kitchen cupboards, door etc.
Quite loud along the road.
The property is quite stunning with a very mature forest.
The staff were excellent especially the young Australian women in the dining room.

"we absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful little inn. Our room was spotless with a comfy bed and great shower and bathroom. We really appreciated the amenities in the room such as the nespresso coffee maker, the tea kettle, hot chocolate and little treats. It has a great location just a short walk to downtown. The host was lovely and met us upon arrival. We stayed multiple places across scotland this trip and this was one of our favorites!"

"Another fantastic stay at Aspen lodge where nothing is too much trouble and you are served amazing breakfasts. Stayed for a week and we literally had a different breakfast daily. You can eat indoors or outdoors too here.
