"My husband and I spent four nights here. It was absolutely lovely - peaceful, tranquil and warm. Great place to come back to after a day out seeing the sights. I see other travelers complained about the cost of breakfast. In our opinion it was a lovely breakfast. A bit on the pricier side but still lovely. We actually skipped lunch most days because we were so full from breakfast and spent more time seeing the sights. The service at the hotel was wonderful. Very kind, warm and professional...

"Hotel The Mitsui was a phenomenal hotel. The amenties, design, and cleanliness were truly standout. The private onsen was lovely. The attentiveness and knowledge of the hotel staff really is top notch. The Japanese style breakfast was beautifully presented. This is one of the best urban hotels I’ve ever stayed in Japan or Europe. I will definitely be returning when I come back to Kyoto. I highly recommend this hotel. "
