"The Salamander DC is the very best kind of posh. By that I mean that yes, the place is one marble floor or stunning sculpture after another, and the hotel room is vast and gorgeous...but the absolute best thing about it is the universal smile and willing spirit from every member of the staff. If you ever wondered if it was possible to find a hotel (or ANY business!) where every person seems to actually be glad to see you...step up to the Salamander. I enjoyed every moment of my stay!"

"Tiny bathrooms even though Expedia sold us on a separate soaking tub. The sink was like something from an airplane. The hotel offered a $75 credit at Vue the rooftop bar/restaurant BUT they were sold out for the weekend so we could not use the credit. We were told $90 for over night parking and were charged $156. The history and the interior finishes were great. The rooftop looked amazing but it was inaccessible. The bathroom was like something from an RV … definitely not a 5 star hotel. We...
