"I never wanted to leave this property. It was the height of excellence and beauty. We’ve travelled extensively and this property is in the top 3 of the hundreds of hotels we have visited in 40 years. Breakfast in the garden was such a beautiful experience. Hotel is walkable to many restaurants and historic monuments. The main stop for the Hop on, Hop off bus is just across the street allowing for easy tours of the city attractions. Would recommend GA Palace to everyone. "

Front desk staff are very friendly and more responsive but housekeeping is terribly inconsistent - room wasn't even fully clean up on arrival, and there were stains on carpet and chair. But bed is very nice with excellent linens and blankets. NOT soundproof rooms. Over-the-top breakfast works for those who want a giant breakfast. "Boeira Gardens is a beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend it. For service I deducted a star because the service was very slow in hotel bar, only one person servicing and there were conference guests in numbers. The service at the front desk was excellent. All the staff were super friendly and efficient. There isn't much in the surrounding area but it's only a 10 minute walk to the Metro which will bring you over to the tourist areas."

"The check in was a bit confusing. There were no staff at the pool or service at all at the pool. It was a trek to the bar and tiu had to carry your drinks on a tray down stairs and in the lift !! Mojito was not right, not enough sugar or lime. Pillows in the bedroom were too big and we couldn't get the tv to work. There seemed to be an absence of staff. Not great coffee at breakfast, it tasted like nescafe. "
