"This is my second time staying at this hotel. I liked the room I stayed in better the first time, but I was still happy with the old world charm of this property. The breakfast is great and the staff are super friendly. My only complaint was my room was close to where bottles were being dumped into the bin, not a huge deal expect there were some nights that they would be dumping bottles multiple times well passed midnight which would wake me up with the loud crashing. "

It was warm, comfy and looked great too, with huge original wooden beams, large luxurious armchairs and tasteful decor. "Location is great - short walk into town and just across the road is a lovely woodland for walks in the shadow of the castle and access to the North York’s Moors is very close. Accommodation layout really good for a social gathering - very clean and well equipped including books and games etc "

"We stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday for my partners birthday and last little break away before our little boy is due! The most peaceful and relaxing place I’ve ever been too, very much needed. The owners & staff couldn’t of be nicer, so welcoming and friendly. The dome was unreal and the bed was unbelievably comfy, best nights sleep I’ve had in a while! The weather was cloudy for most of our stay but it didn’t matter, we still managed to have a BBQ which was great! Amazing views...
