"The hotel itself is beautiful, with great facilities and lovely views of both the mountains and the sea. The shared pool access rooms are definitely worth it and really enhanced the experience. The pool bar was also a highlight, and Elissa in particular provided fabulous service throughout our stay. That said, there were a few areas where the experience fell short of what you would expect from a true 5* hotel. The vegetarian food options were quite limited and unfortunately was not very good...

"Staff were all lovely, so helpful and were the highlight of the stay. Due to lack of staff being on roster we weren’t able to book the spa over the weekend. Our room was quite worn and in the bath room quite grubby. Just felt a like the place was a little run down. "

"Beautiful newer oceanfront property that has excellent service and amenities. All rooms face the ocean with about half having balconies. Sunset views over the Aegean Sea are amazing. If you plan to get in the sea near the property make sure you bring water shoes along. They also have saltwater pool which is luxurious along with spa. Food quality and service is excellent. Hotel is about a 20-25 min walk to the harbor area and flat so easy to walk."

"Property was right on the beach., which was awesome! Very large but very well laid out . Never felt crowded. Many pools to choose from & beach loungers all had umbrellas & were very comfortable . Pool towel service needs improvement. Have to pick up towels at the spa . 3x during our stay there were no towels available. For the caliber of hotel clean beach towels should have been provided in the room daily. Bathroom lacked towel racks or sufficient hooks ( only 2_for bath towels). Hand towels...

"We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and our suite was incredibly spacious, beautifully appointed, and featured excellent lighting, great ambiance, and plenty of storage. Breakfast each morning was delicious, fresh, and offered a wonderful variety. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. "The location of Scala de Faro could not be beat in Chania! We took the steps directly to the harbor. Rooms were clean and comfortable - and the included breakfast was a highlight!"

"Great spot! Only one real bad thing, there was an awful sewage smell in the lobby every day. Not sure what is happening but they need to fix that. "Sköna sängar, rena rum, bra krut i duschen. Trevlig personal överallt bortsett från i receptionen, de var inte speciellt hjälpsamma. För få solsängar och trångt vid poolen. Skyltar finns uppsatta runt poolområdet som säger att man inte får boka solsäng och att handdukar tas bort av personalen efter 30 min - detta var tyvärr ett tomt hot. Folk paxade solsängar vid 6-7 på morgonen för att sedan inte nyttja dem under stora delar av dagen. Vattenlandet uppskattades av barnen. Mat och dryck var OK."
