We had a wonderful stay at Cuesta Serena. The views are absolutely beautiful, and the location is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay, which made the experience feel even more special. Everything came together for a truly relaxing weekend, and we would definitely love to come back!

The staff at Hotel Abuelo is superlative. We speak no Spanish, so every day the owner, Philippe, would call travel agencies to set up tours for us. He walked with us to the pick up location and waited with us until the van arrived. He even helped us purchase our bus tickets to Trujillo. In a town where no one speaks English, Phillipe is invaluable. Also, The coffee at was the best we had in our 21 data in Perú. Also appreciated was the endless hot water. Owners and staff makes you feel like at home, very attentive. Access is a little hard due to the road and not all drivers are familiar with the hotel, however the view is priceless

Great location Excellent staff

Muy cómodo, seguro y limpio. Las habitaciones muy cómodas. Queda a pocas cuadras de la Plaza de Armas, suficientemente cerca para tener acceso a los servicios de la ciudad y moderadamente lejos para no sentir el ruido. La altura no molesta, Carhuaz está a 2600 msnm. El nombre de CASA le va muy bien, uno se siente en familia desde el momento en que llega. Perfecto lugar de base para explorar el Callejón de Huaylas.

Excellently located, and excellent price-quality hotel

The staff was wonderful even though we got in late. Plus the bouldering wall is super cool!

This is an excellent place to stay, but if you aren't being picked up, it can be hard to find the first time around. The breakfast was great, the rates reasonable, and the hotel quiet and pleasant. The staff was top notch as well.
