"Having just spent 5 nights at this hotel we can definitely recommend it. It was ideally placed for our self organised tour of Sri Lanka and, from here, we visited the iconic sites of Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and the fabulous Hurulu national park where we saw many elephants. "The staff were excellent and extraordinary welcoming. We are an elderly couple and the staff took care of us like we were their own children. The chief went out of his way to ask me what food I liked and cooked it especially just to make us feel welcome. That was not necessary but the warmth of the team made our holiday excellent.
