"Everything about this place is top notch. It’s clean - and I mean clean, clean - , the staff is fantastic, food is great, and the rooms are spacious. Good location, too. We were made feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and they remembered me by name or room number without me having to say anything. Wonderful. Nepal itself is absolutely amazing, too. One of the best trips of our lives. City is super clean; no garbage bags scattered everywhere and no sewage- or garbage-smells. Artisans...

"This place is top notch! The service the staff the food the ambience. All magnificent."

"Convenient location, a little noisy for my taste at night, has casino on bottom floor."

"Absolutely 5 star! We enjoyed our weeklong stay at Vivanta. All the staff were so kind, so personal, and made us feel at home. Shrinana greeted us every morning at breakfast, and then there is Shirish, Sonika, Rachana, Chef Bikash, Chef Hiroj, Bibek. Breakfast is plenty and wide variety of both Nepali and western style, and we are well fed every morning. Even a going away cake to say our goodbyes! We highly recommend Vivanta hotel Katmandu and hope to be back when we visit the area again!"

"Beautiful views, but disappointing for the price I stayed at The Terraces for two nights of a planned five-night stay, paying approximately $260 per night including taxes. I was disappointed enough to leave early, forfeiting payment for three unused nights. The property has beautiful mountain views, lovely landscaping, and amenities including a heated pool and yoga. However, much of the hotel feels dated, worn, and inadequately maintained. I encountered issues including a bathroom leak, noisy...

"Gotta be straight with ya . . Perfect location . . smack in the middle of everything. The best deep tissue 90 minute massage in Nepal. , . I had it 2 two times with Ms.Pramila at their in house spa. Over the top great . . The second time was when I came off a 14 day trek to Mount Everest Base Camp . . Ms. Pramila came in on her day off just for me . . Serious!! Ms. Aayusha on the front desk . . Was exceptional in all aspects . . Professional. Positive. Outgoing. Perfect English. Natural...

"The grounds were beautiful though the room is dated. Staff is great. 5 star service. However there is no indoor pool as claimed in property details on Expedia."

"We were given a "Business Room" that was spacious but very, very run down. The bed was awful and you could feel every move and shake in it, which is terrible with a small child. The couch was very worn and weirdly short. The desk and table had spill stains that wouldn't come out. The toilet flushers were broken plastic and constantly getting stuck. The cleaning products used in the hallways smelled terrible, like toxic levels of naphthalene. The jacuzzi water was orange. Not suitable to swim...

"Staff was always ready to help and their brunch was delicious with so many choices Their general manager Roy was always available to address your concerns or queries Highly recommend"

"The location and view is excellent, really recommend making use of the early morning and sunset rooftop opportunities. Some of the amenities were add-ons and quite expensive like the sauna and bbq."

"The hotel is one of the latest constructions, involving latest earthquake requirements, food at breakfast is excellent, location is great as close to airport, less than 15min off peak and thus low-cost, walkable to explore Lalitpur which is very traditional with Unesco classified Museum and old buildings. Rooms are perfect to relax, all super modern with electric sockets taking world-wide plugs. The hotel GM needs to be highlighted as he takes takes care of welk- being of each guest. At the...

"Very nice hotel and great staff. Breakfast buffet was really good with lots of choices. Highly recommended."
