"This was like a piece of tranquil paradise in the middle of Galle Fort. It’s excellently located for exploring the fort and the building is beautifully preserved and offers excellent and spacious accommodation. We loved the room with a garden balcony, as we could watch and hear the world go by from the comfort of our room. "The pool and beach setting were incredible, the room was spacious and had nice amenitys, the beds were comfy and balconys had a stunning view. We upgraded to half board when we arrived, breakfast had lots of options, dinner was always really high quality food, however the amount offered did seem to depend on how many people were in the hotel at the time. "Quando estavamos a fazer o chek in a rececionista disse que não tinhamos reserva. O Hotel tinha cancelado a reserva com o operador. Tentamos ligar várias vezes mas devido à diferença horária nunca fomos atendidos. Acabámos por ficar uma noite, tendo em conta o adiantado da hora mas pagando o quarto! "We had a great 4 night stay at Ahu Bay. It was nice that Nilanga messaged ahead to discuss arrival time. Having a room right on the beach was a real treat and the private pool was kept spotless by the team. The team couldn’t do more for us during our stay, making adjustments to cocktails to suit ours tastes. We ate at hotel twice and both times really enjoyed the dishes we tried, it’s clear there’s a talented chef in the kitchen! "

"Enjoyed my stay. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is nice but the rooms are a bit dated. I would consider this a 4 not 5 star hotel. Special shout-out to Subhadra who was fantastic from housekeeping my entire staff. Definitely a highlight. Would recommend this hotel. "
