"Generally good, just the following observations:
1, wifi in our room is very weak, close to none. Sure it is a cave but we also stayed in another luxury cave hotel in Matera and their WiFi was superb.
2, for this price even including the SPA facikity, we expect just a bit more or lower price.
3, we booked a suite but the suite we had was slightly different from the one we saw on the Internet, both the hotel's and Expedia's. There was only one chair in our suite, and we were travelling as...
"Beautiful place. Great charm and character. Everything was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaraunt was spectacular. The rooms are carved into the caves so each one is unique. I was amazed how they were able to engineer plumbing and electricity in these caves. The only slight issue was the A/C was not working very well. Not a big deal. I would definitely stay here again and recommend others to stay also."
"The main hotel reception, restaurant, bar and pool were lovely. The rooms very nice and clean however the decking on the lodges was appalling and very dangerous. Nails sticking out, cracked and rotten boards. You felt like you were going to fall through. Also in the restaurant they don’t chill or cover the deli meets and cheese so they have flies all over them and and dangerous to eat sitting in the heat for hours. If they fix those few things the place could be wonderful. But urgently they need...

The staff makes every effort to please and assist. The general approach is thoughtful and old school in a nice way. We had a large room facing the street that was comfortable with high ceilings and lots of space. Bernalda, at first, seems like a not particularly lovely little town but it does grow on you. The house...
