"My husband choose this hotel & won hands down ( we take it in turn choosing hotels to stay in while visiting southern Ireland ) I lost the night before . The moment we arrived we felt we were just not a room number they had filled our room was amazing . Hotel is situated just outside the town so was lovely & quiet food was beautifully served can't praise it enough ."
"The hotel was okay overall, but I found the treatment of solo travellers disappointing. We seemed to be given the less desirable tables in the restaurant and weren’t even asked whether we would prefer to sit inside or on the glass veranda. As a solo traveller, you already pay considerably more for a room, so it’s frustrating to feel disadvantaged in other ways too. I actually decided to leave earlier than planned and paid for."
"The hotel is clean and comfortable. The lower rating is due to the behaviour/lack of communication by one of the receptionists. I’m not sure we would stay here again."
"I honestly would give this a 3.5 rating instead of a 4, but it wasn't an option. This hotel is in a good location, but the rooms are very dated. The furniture is worn and tired. The baseboards, doors, and carpets are dented or torn. The upsides to the hotel are the restaurant and bar are great. The food, drinks and staff were all wonderful. I would not stay here again until they've updated the rooms."
"We had a nice large room with a bathtub which was quite nice. Geo large beds as well. However the cold water faucet did not work in our bathroom. The bathroom door also did not close and latch. The door was pretty beaten up at the bottom as well. Just needs some maintenance. I wanted to use the pool but the blaring music in the gym was a turn off for me doing that. The breakfast was ok. They said here were hot food options to get made to order but no one who waited on us even offered or told...
"Generally a nice place. A little dated. Warning there are some stairs with no elevator to lower level. Hallway downstairs was a bit creepy. Pool was nice, however you do have to leave the building to get there.
Front desk staff was very nice. Restaurant was also very nice but it does take a little while. Good location. All in all pretty good for the price."
"Very basic property. Rooms are quite warm, though fans are available. However, garbage trucks, recycling trucks, and keg pickups happen early in the morning and are VERY noisy, so leaving the window open is a challenge.
The parking situation is aggravating, as nobody can explain the rules (we got conflicting messages).
Overall, the property is fine, but I wouldn’t stay here if it’s warm or busy."
