This is my third time staying at The Grand Monarque. The location is excellent, bathroom and amenities great, good bed and sheets, friendly staff and lovely restaurant in an atrium. The breakfast is excellent, and I had lunch at the one star restaurant in the hotel which I never realized was there. It was superb!
I think the decor in the halls should be updated. They give the wrong impression of the hotel. Other than that, I love it.

This bed and breakfast was wonderful. We only stayed one night but we would definitely return. Great location. Easy to walk to all the stores and restaurants. The hosts are so lovely. The breakfast was fabulous. The room has air conditioning! I highly recommend!

Stayed one night to explore Chartres Cathedral and couldn't have been happier with my stay. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and easy to find. The front desk staff were very helpful, from arranging for dinner to helping with the very European elevator (!) to storing my luggage the next morning. The location of the hotel couldn't be more convenient to the Chartres Cathedral, the main attraction in town. And the view of the Cathedral from the hotel is magnificent! Make sure to ask...
