Die Daterlinde (auch Taterlinde) soll als Taternpfahl, also der Punkt bis zu dem sich Zigeuner oder Tatern einer Stadt nähern durften, genutzt worden sein. Die abgestorbene Linde liegt im Stadtwald der heutigen Stadt Bad Sooden-Allendorf (zwischem dem Schwengelberg und der thüringischen Goburg). Unweit dieser Daterlinde wurde eine neue Daterlinde gepflanzt.
