Check out the local area in Awaji Island—home to attractions like Takataya Kahei Park and Awaji World Park Onokoro.

Yumebutai is a conference center, hotel, and memorial designed by Tadao Ando. While Awaji island might not be on the typical tourist path, you could spend hours exploring the grounds of this magnificent place. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on one of the verandas overlooking the "100 squares" of terraced gardens. If you go mid-week, you'll feel like you have the entire place to yourself!
