"Beautiful surroundings, pool area was lovely.
We were disappointed with the room, it was tired the air con wasn't working well and the hot water wasn't great, the taps ran hot for a few seconds only and the shower went from hot to cold quickly."

Room was clean and comfortable although a little dated. No air conditioning, had to leave windows open which then creates problems with outside noise. Bathroom spacious but also very dated. Shower in bath not ideal, no extractor fan.
Hotel is brilliantly located for city centre, Barbican and train station and car park is located right underneath hotel which is so convenient and secure. Bar and staff very pleasant.

"Everything about the hotel and staff was perfect. The only thing that we had issue with was the parking arrangements. Our Expedia booking included free parking, but apparently parking is only guaranteed when booking directly with the hotel. Expedia were not transparent about this. Hence, on the first night, we had to park on the street and pay £14.40 for five hours...waiting for an allocated hotel parking space on a first-come, first-served basis to become available."
"The staff and facilities were the highlight of an excellent family stay. The apartment was comfortable, well set up, spacious and clean. Swimming every day after a hearty breakfast. Everyone working there were friendly, super helpful and made us all feel very welcome. Looking forward to coming back soon"
"What a lovely hotel. The couple that run this can't do enough for you. It's decor is lovely and has a very extensively stocked bar. The breakfast was top notch too. Top tip, if parking outside they supply a permit which will save you some money."
"Not great I'm afraid. The front desk desk staff were not welcoming- the lady on late at night when we checked in was downright rude. She ignored us and then insisted I filled out details of my car even though I wasn't using the hotel car park before giving us our keys. Ok if you need somewhere for an overnight, but I won't be returning."

The hotel is out of the way, which suited us fine but it is difficult to locate and if you want shops etc the Beach Club is not for you.

"Poor bedding, really loud canalisation pump. Really smelly bathroom. Bed view. I couldn't sleep at night as bed wasn't comfortable. Also didn't take a shower 🚿 As it's really smelly room. Pool is public and it's quarter a mile from here. Breakfast was really okay, but after bad night of poor sleep I wasn't enjoying it. Bed is uncomfortable, but sea view advertise
On a platform is not even there. I got upset but toilet smell it's much stronger as impression."
"Hope Cove is a lovely place to stay. Food at the Hope and Anchor was five star. Staff were friendly. We did feel however that certain parts needed more attention. There was thick dust under the dresser in restaurant area.
There is a paying car park next door which was £12 for 24 hours."
