"This is an older hotel with lots of charm. Except for a few minor imperfections, it is a clean and wonderful place to stay. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast and meal options. The outdoor seating area for the restaurant was a beautiful oasis. We very much enjoyed our stay."
"De kamer was gerenoveerd en erg netjes en modern. Het hotel is prachtig gelegen met veel activiteiten in de omgeving. We hadden moeite met het feit dat er alleen een self check-in en check-out was. Dat gaf gedoe en maakte het een onpersoonlijke ervaring bij binnenkomst. Het hotel zelf is gedateerd en oogt niet erg gezellig. Het zwembad was erg koud, de sauna ook en het turks bad was gesloten. Die faciliteiten zijn dus geen aanrader. Restaurant Julia's had ook niet echt een gezellige inrichting...
"The staff will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and well cared for. The restaurant was absolutely delicious for dinner and the breakfast buffet had everything you could want and was kept fresh and fully stocked throughout breakfast hours. The biggest surprise was the gorgeous park across the street which looked like a fairytale with swans swimming on the lake and beautiful trails for running or walking. It’s a couple minutes walk along the park from the Hilversum sport park train...
"We stayed in a suite, and it was fantastic. The location of the hotel is perfect to see the great sights in the city. If staying on a Saturday you can enjoy the Saturday market in front of the hotel! The hotel is in the middle of restaurants and retail shops. A grocery store is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the fridge in the hotel room. It is an easy walk to/from the train station ( even with luggage). The staff were so helpful! Yes, the hotel rooms have air conditioning that works great."
"The positives:
- The room was quiet and large
- Bed was comfortable
- The carpark was large
The negatives:
- No air conditioning and no fans. First room was like an oven. Reception did swap us and we eventually managed to cool the second room down a little.
- The bathroom set up was bizarre. The sink was in the shower cubicle, which meant you needed wellies to use the sink after a shower as it took many hours for the floor to dry. Very difficult to use.
- There was a kettle but only tiny paper...
"We stayed at this hotel for just one night while travelling through Schiphol Airport.
First, I want to acknowledge the wonderful front desk staff. They were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional, and certainly a highlight. The hotel is also very conveniently located, just a short walk from the train station, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing, particularly considering the price we paid. Our room appeared quite tired and...
