"The room was very clean, the bed was really large and comfortable, the receptionist we met on arrival and departure was very kind, friendly and made us feel very welcome, also the domestic team were equally helpful and friendly. We were able to book a late checkout at no extra cost which made our stay even better. We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely stay again when we visit York. "

"When we went in to our room, the Chocolate Orange, we noticed it was colder than the hallway. Nicky, the receptionist, showed us around the room, as told us to turn up the radiators. But that didn't work. So after 15mins, I went to the reception and asked if there were any other rooms available. Nicky showed us 2, and we decided on the Matchmaker. This room was excellent, very warm and spacious. colder than the hallway. "

"We stayed one night for a weekend away in york. Was very impressed with how friendly and attentive the staff were and the breakfast the next day was very nice!. Although the room being a little dated, it was very spacious and warm, with everything you needed, plus more than enough beverages at hand. I also found the bed to be quite comfy if not a little bouncy. Parking on site was £10 for the duration of our stay,, although space is limited and got full towards the end of the day.
